Project Heart Start depends largely on volunteers to fulfill its mission to train every able person in New Mexico how to save a life. The 2012 NM PHS Day would not have been possible without the 450 volunteer facilitators who helped to train hundreds of New Mexicans in 11 communities and the planning committees in each of these places who organized the events. Since then the program has grown thanks to the help of even more people. Thank you to CNM, PIMA,UNM, the Placitas Fire Department and the schools for helping to train close to 2000 New Mexicans in the first 3 months of 2013!
